It’s pretty clear the world’s on fire. But what about your inner world?
Lately, you’re finding yourself either totally cut off from your feelings or working hard to keep at bay uninvited emotional storms so you don’t actually throw the tantrum that’s brewing underneath. It’s no wonder you’re telling friends you’re “fine.” Really, if they got a glimpse into your mind, it would look like a gnarled, furious swirl of conflicting thoughts and feelings. One minute you’re planning your escape to Mexico and the next you’re obsessing over the text message your ex still hasn’t responded to (and simultaneously beating yourself up for sending it in the first place). And all the while, a little voice inside is saying “there must be something very wrong with me.”
The thing is, you’ve always felt things deeply. Too deeply, you’re told. And so you’ve learned to fortify your softness, pull yourself up by the proverbial bootstraps and white knuckle through the anxiety that never really went away even if your external demeanor looks cool and collected. It’s not a matter of if you can keep going on like this because if anyone can power through, it’s you.
But you’re bone-tired. Recently, the cracks in your fortification are starting to show in every aspect of your life, including:
- Panic that’s keeping you from sleep and inconveniently visiting you during meetings at work
- A sense of fog and disconnection when you’re with friends and family
- Relentless inner criticism that stops you from risking any change
IFS Therapy can help
It might feel like an impossibility right now, but you can feel excited about life again. You can access more confidence and trust in yourself that frees you up to move toward the people and creative practices that help you remember the magic that’s inside of you.
IFS Therapy helps you:
- Come to not just know but deeply connect with and truly understand your inner world – and why you actually make so much sense
- Uncover the resources and strengths that are already inside of you
- Extend deep and transformative healing toward the younger parts of yourself that are “stuck” in past pain
I’ll be with you through every step of this process, extending my own curiosity, compassion and trust in your inner world’s unique brilliance. I am here for all of your inner skeptics, haters, critics, weirdos, loners and more. As a Level 2 trained IFS therapist, my approach to IFS comes from a place of lived experience with and genuine love for how this model can radically shift how we relate to ourselves and others. I incorporate humor and creativity to make the process of getting to know yourself more accessible and playful. By connecting with your body’s deeper wisdom and your soul’s forgotten longings, we transform the impact of painful life experiences and usher in more harmonious communication and collaboration between all parts of you.

Frequently Asked Questions about IFS
What are IFS sessions like?
No two IFS sessions will be the same, but in general, we’ll begin by getting curious about the energies, thoughts, feelings, sensations, situations and urges that are causing you the most distress. Instead of just talking about them, the invitation will be made to get to know them, to understand why your mind/body/feelings do what they do and how it was once adaptive. This can be accessed in a variety of ways, including visualization, metaphor, imagery and music. As you begin to access more compassion, curiosity and spaciousness toward your inner world, we can extend healing toward parts of you that have been carrying heavy burdens. This often leads to feeling lighter, more open and connected, both to yourself and the world around you.
Will we just do IFS or can it be combined with other therapies?
It’s totally up to you! While IFS is one of my favorite ways of offering support and the opportunity for healing, I also love combining it with other experiential therapies such as EMDR and music therapy. But ultimately, it’ll be a process of getting to know what feels best for your unique system. Even if we’re not talking about “parts,” know that I’m always holding the lens of IFS as a portal to deeper understanding and compassion.
How do I know if IFS therapy would be a good fit for me?
If you are intrigued by the idea of going beyond symptom management to understanding and healing the root of why those symptoms are there in the first place, you’ll probably love IFS. Bonus points if you’re naturally introspective and excited to move beyond just talking about your problems into the world of feeling, healing and experiencing through imagery, metaphor and other creative methods.
