What are the benefits of therapy?

Therapy can lead to a variety of positive changes and growth in your life, including improved relationships, sense of well-being, increased fulfillment in your career and home life and clarity about your goals and values. With an unbiased, compassionate and non-judgmental person journeying alongside you, you can develop new insights, gain perspective and feel empowered to take steps to reach your goals.

I’m ready to get started, but how do I know if we’ll be a good fit?

Finding a therapist who you feel comfortable talking to is such an important first step. Research has shown that regardless of the approach a therapist uses, the relationship is a key factor to creating sustainable change. While it can sometimes take a couple of sessions to get a really good feel for a new therapist, talking on the phone or doing a brief video consultation can help give you a sense of whether or not a therapist might be a good fit for you.

How can I get in touch with you?
I am happy to offer a free 15 minute phone consultation where you can tell me why you’re seeking therapy, what your goals are, and ask me any questions you might have. This is a good opportunity to determine whether or not we might be a good fit and if so, to schedule a full initial session. You can reach me by phone at (267) 549-5173. You can also reach out to me via email at rachel@therapywithrachel.co
Do you take insurance?

I am not currently in-network with any health insurance companies. If you have out of network benefits, I am happy to provide a superbill each month that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Helpful questions to ask your insurance company to find out about your out of network mental health benefits:

-Does my health insurance plan include out-of-network mental health benefits?

-What is my out-of-network reimbursement rate?

-Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it? After it is met, what is the reimbursement rate for code 90834?

-Does my deductible renew at the start of the new year or contract year?

-Is there a limit to the amount of out-of-network sessions I have?

-How do I submit for reimbursement?

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least a 48-hour notice if you must cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you do not provide 48 hours notice, or simply do not show up, you will be financially responsible for the full cost of the session.
